Agnes Knox, born 1779, died 6th July 1868, aged 89 years (death
certificate).
Married William Mair at Tarbolton 10th July 1804 (both of this
parish).
On Agnes's grave in Stair churchyard it indicates a birthdate
of abt 1788 which would mean she really died at aged 92 (not
80 as stated on the grave). In the various censuses her birthdate
does fluctuate :-
In 1841 about 1786,
in 1851 about 1780,
in 1861 about 1779
