"William Evens, labourer
at Troon, and Elizabeth Allan, widow of John Knox tenent there,
were married on the 24th October 1811."
"John Stirling and Elizabeth Allan, recedents at Troon, were married the fourth of February 1817." The fact that this is the same Elizabeth Allan who was the wife of John Knox, farmer, is verified by the inclusion of both names, Knox and Stirling, for Elizabeth Allan on the death certificate of her daughter, Agnes.
Elizabeth Allan, wife of John Stirling, died 11th June 1819 and was interred at Crosbie.
