James Murdoch (father) According to his tombstone, "Er
Henry Murdoch 23rd February 1890 aged 64, in memory of his father
James, farmer Barbeth, died 5th December 1850 , aged 64 and his
sister Jane, who died 20th April 1898, aged 73". James Murdoch
was born in 1786. According to the naming of his children, we
would expect his father to be a Henry Murdoch and his mother
to be either Margaret or Agnes. The best fit to this I have so
far encountered is :- 588/1 116 Henry
