Temperature :- this is shown as a number inside a circle.
Sunshine :- the number inside this shows the temperature.
Thin Cloud :- this light coloured cloud is thin cloud not likely to produce precipitation.
Thick Cloud :- this dark coloured cloud is thick cloud which often produces precipitation.
Sunny Intervals :- this sun symbol used with the cloud symbol shows a mixture of sun and cloud.
Rain :- the tear drop symbols beneath the cloud show rain.
Rain Showers and Sunny Intervals :- a combination of rain, cloud and sunshine symbols.
Snow :- the snowflake symbols beneath the cloud show snow.
Sleet :- the rain and snow symbols together beneath the cloud show sleet.
Thunderstorm :- the lightning beneath the dark cloud shows that thunder is likely.
Wind Speed and Direction :- the wind speed is printed in miles per hour in the centre of the circle. The direction the wind is blowing from is shown by the arrow.
Fog :- in this case, the word is written on a map
